SPARC [panels]

SPARC [panels] provide an intimate setting for viewers to learn more about a particular topic as experienced panelists engage in a lively, moderated discussion. Several panels are held throughout the academic year on  relevant topics and typically feature three panelists and one moderator.

Fostering a Culture of Care

On April 13th, 2015, in honor of sexual assault awareness month, a SPARC [panels] event was held to discuss how the community can create a culture of care for survivors of sexual assault. We were joined by our moderator, Angela Liu, and the following panelists:

-Maia Delegal, founder of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
-Katherine Rodgers, SAVE representative and VP of Social Responsibility for the Panhellenic Council
-Julian Potter, SMARRT (Students Meeting about Risk and Responsibility Training) leader

Diversity in Higher Education

On March 23rd, 2015, a SPARC [panels] event was held to discuss topics related to diversity in higher education. SPARC [conversations] is grateful to our moderator Laura Hengehold, P.h.D for her excellent questions and our panelists Rquaijah Yearby, P.h.D, , Christopher L. Jones, and Xyla Foxlin for their insightful commentary and unique perspectives.
